The organization places a strong focus on religious relevance and programmatic sustainability. Our mission is informed by the desire to better manage the nexus between
sustainable development and urbanization challenges in the informal settlements within which we dispense our practices. We strive to elevate formal education and foster the realization of ideal living standards for the underserved communities we serve.
Madrasa for women
We are committed to promoting economic empowerment and self-sufficiency among revertee women by providing adult
literacy programs and tailored business and enterprise training. Transitioning to a new faith can be a deeply personal and,
at times, challenging journey, often accompanied by social and economic hurdles.
In the heart of Mukuru Kwa Ruben, many revertee children—new to Islam—face the daily struggle of hunger, which
threatens their well-being and ability to focus on education. Catholic schools in the area provide meals to their students,
ensuring they stay nourished and engaged in learning. However, many Muslim children, especially those from vulnerable
backgrounds, lack similar support.
We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty in Mukuru Kwa Ruben, yet many boys and girls in the
community face financial barriers that threaten their ability to stay in school. We are committed to safeguarding the rights and well-being of children, particularly those at risk of abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Through sponsorship programs, advocacy, and community engagement, we strive to provide children with access to education, healthcare, and opportunities to realize their full potential.
